Neurosurgery and Technology

Neuro Technology at it's Best

Knowledge, Experience and Advanced Technologies has made Neurological Surgeries safe.

Clinical neurology will continue to have its own importance in decision making for surgery, however, technology will help refine techniques, achieve precision, and perfection. Newer technologies like Neuronavigation System, Intra Operative Nerve Monitoring, 3D Endoscope and Stereotaxy system has expanded and refined the discipline of neurosurgery.

Brain Aneurysm and AVM

Arteriovenous malformations (AVM) and intracranial aneurysms often have devastating impact when they present as subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). These are usually congenital lesions which usually presents with hemorrhage, less often with seizures.

Brain Tumor

The most common presentation of brain tumors is Headache, Memory Loss/Cognitive dysfunction, Seizure, Personality Change and Nausea and Vomiting.

Congenital Malformations

Congenital anomalies occur when the plates in a baby's skull or spine form in an unusual way. Common examples are Hydrocephalus, Arachnoid Cysts, Spina Bifida and Tethered Cord.

Functional Neurosurgery

Functional neurosurgery is a neurosurgical procedure done for restoration of neurological condition and function such as movement disorders (Parkinsons Disease, Hemifacial Spasm,Dystonia),Epilepsy and Spasticity.

Head and Spine Trauma

Head and spine trauma refer to injuries or accidents that affect an individual’s brain and/or spinal cord. Concussion of the brain is a common occurrence. Most common causes of Head and Spinal Injury are Road Traffic Accident(RTA),Fall injury and Physical Assult.

Neuro Spine

Degenerative Disc Disease, Herniated/Ruptured/Bulging or Slipped Discs, Sciatica, Spinal Canal Stenosis, Spondylolisthesis and Spinal Tumors are the common spinal conditions.

Pediatric Neurosurgery

Pediatric Neurosurgery specialty areas include Congenital anomalies of the brain and spinal cord, Tumors of the brain and spinal cord, pediatric Head and Spinal Cord Injury, Hydrocephalus, Spina Bifida and MyeloMeningocele, Vascular anomalies of the brain and spinal cord, Epilepsy and Chiari malformations.

Peripheral Nerve Diseases

The peripheral nervous system refers to parts of the nervous system outside the brain and spinal cord. It includes the cranial nerves and spinal nerves from their origin to their end.
